Although early styles often imitated imported Chinese wares, British producers soon developed distinctive styles of their own, reflecting the fashions of the day. Sadly, today only a few of these distinguished names remain, but despite the survival of Royal Crown Derby, Royal Worcester and Spode, Derby is the only factory still manufacturing pots on site.
